Food Miles Tours are planned, organised and led by Donald Reid. For over 25 years, Donald has been Food & Drink editor of The List magazine – Scotland’s equivalent of Time Out. In that time he has researched, written and published dozens of publications covering not just the eating out scene in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but the Scottish food scene in general, following producers, products and stories about Scotland’s food culture right across the country. A long-time supporter and activist for Slow Food, Donald also helped establish and lead the MSc Gastronomy programme at Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret University from 2014 to 2024, with principal responsibility for running field trips and teaching modules on food and drink in Scotland.
